10+ years of yoga I've never had an instructor tell me to work my outer hips to get my knees down in sitting postures. It really made a difference. Not really a flow, but good sequencing. My only issue was being left in chavasana
I sit at a desk all week and even though I have hypermobile joints, my hamstrings and hips become very tight. This felt like such a breath of fresh air!
The sequence was good but this video didn't work well for me. I'm mostly listening for the cues and I was getting frustrated that the teacher sort of swallows her words. If I turned it up it would then be too loud when she spoke up again. This might not be a problem for others but I'm practicing in my living room early in the morning, trying not to wake up my whole family.
I really enjoyed this class, and even though my legs got shaky from constantly engaging, I felt the release in my hamstrings and an ease in my upper body when doing so in the various forward folds.
I really enjoyed this class. Lots of great hip openers. I sit at a desk for most of the day and this is exactly what I needed today.
My runners hips were screaming most of this class but they feel amazing now.
This is my fav hip opener sequence on MyYogaWorks.
I love to stretch and open my hips and this class is awesome!
my self as well as my hips! This is my first time using My Yogaworks. I'm out of town where there is no Yogaworks studio. It is so good to do a practice that is not one sun salutation to the next! Very clear and encouraging instruction. A solid level 2. Thanks, Alexandria. Your instruction easily lives up to your wonderful reputation.
This practice challenged me on so many different levels. I was expecting the physical part but wasn't expecting the mental part. I had to open my mind and allow myself to breath into some of these poses. I also had to open my mind because I don't normally practice for more then 30 min. This was a very wonderful and opening practice. Than you Alex =D
I cannot get enough of this class!
being a runner and triathlete for a few years ive always focused on strength and stamina, never considering flexibility. needless to say my hips were not open at all when i first hit my mat again and double pigeon felt and looked impossible to me. but today i finally got into double pigeon! not very far but i could stack my feet and knees. i feel so encouraged!
not really flow-y, but this practice really worked out the tightness in my hips.
