Focus on your back and building strength in this quick class.

A lot of work, not just in your back! Loved it!

For me, this class is a solid L2 and focusses on lower back, hip flexors, and some upper back. It takes some effort but it wouldnt be worth it if it didnt!

So apparently I really need this class...found myself getting pretty angry during some of the holds, haha! That said, I think this class is closer to level 3 than level 2. Very challenging!

This is definitely one of those classes that tests you mentally just as much as physically. Slow doesn't equal not challenging, in fact it's quite the opposite for this class. It made me realize that by engaging your back completely it takes the strain out of the lower back. If your lower back is hurting during this class it's an important sign that you probably aren't engaging your back as much as you should in regular vinyasa/power yoga type classes. I feel like you can go a long time doing vinyasa before realizing your actually hurting your back more than helping it. This class is an excellent gauge for that. I will definitely be coming back to this class again and again.

I really liked this class and the instructions were excellent, but it was super challenging. Felt more like level 3. My legs and back felt a bit strained during and I had to take a few tiny breaks. Maybe once my back is stronger, I can hold the poses longer. My back felt fine after the class.
Someone with history of back issues (like me) should be careful and build up the strength slowly.

Personally, the postures in this class caused quite a lot of lower back burn during the holds. I tried to follow along with all the cueing. The instructor frequently has students hold a squat/lunge posture (chair, crescent lunge) while also leaning forward. For me, it caused a lot of discomfort. Probably not helped by the run I went on yesterday, but I would exercise a lot of caution and pay close attention to how your back is feeling during the poses.

Nothing quick about this class...very slow pace

I have back problems (herniated a disk a few years ago and have had a tight back literally my entire life) and I think this is exactly what I need!

This was unbelievably hard for me at times! I was a dancer and have trouble keeping my legs turned in and have a generally hyper mobile lower back. This was excellent for me personally to work on my weaknesses. I really enjoyed it and can really feel my entire back fired up in the best way!
