This flow class is all about opening the hamstrings. Not warming up the hamstrings adequately can cause the lower back to flatten in certain poses leading to weakness in the lower back over time. Recommended props: 2 blocks, 1 blanket
During this pandemic I am enjoying working with the Yogaworks videos so much. Between this sequence and Jesse Schein's hamstring videos I am shocked and delighted to see and feel how my hamstrings are opening. Got closer than ever to full hanumanasana this evening.
Thank you David this was really good, loved the sequencing and that you took us back to Ardha Chandrasana again, loved that all pieces and muscles were warmed up and trained before reaching the peak. And once in the peak there was time. Time enough to explore and experience.
So, I did this practice 8 days ago and commented on it, but I want to comment again because thanks to this practice I am once again pain free for the night... Due to a lot of sitting at work today my lower back was giving me issues all day. I got back to my room and through this bad boy on. I've done a few other shorter hamstring practices throughout the week, but this one is still my favorite and my go to when my back pain kicks in. David is amazing
David I owe you an incredibly BIG thank you for this practice. My lower back and my hip were giving me major problems today causing me to hopple around at work and to even shed a few tears. But this practice gave me such relief. I almost want to shed some more tears because I don't feel any pain right now. Thank you so dang much for this session. This will be my go too when the I'm in pain again =D

This is my go to class. I have really tight hamstrings and this has helped me loosen up so much. I feel much stronger too. I feel like I had a great workout after this class. I highly recommend it. Thank you for your excellent instruction
It was a strong flow with a lot of focus on heating and strengthening the legs. It leans toward a more advanced level 2, culminating in full Hanumanasana or Split Pose.
