Open your hips as you work towards lotus pose, or padmasana. Recommended props: 2 blocks, 1 blanket
Excellent. This was exactly what I needed. Mindful but not boring. I feel amazing.
Sarah offers one of the most sophisticated, nourishing deliveries of asana I've ever experienced. Loved this sequence.
A lovely sequence for anyone wanting to work slowly towards lotus. However, if you're looking for a level 3 class that involves much heat or strong holds, you may want to go to a different video.
the sequence is great, very creative and great transitions. And I love the way you combine the instructions and spiritually
I agree about the amount of instruction, but it's a beautiful sequence. I think if I were to do this again, now that I know the sequence of poses, I would go into each pose earlier and hold it for more time.
Way too much instruction for a Level 3 class.
I thoroughly enjoyed this class. The postures aided in opening up tight hips, but more it was Sarah's tone and manner of instruction that brought a pleasant air to a challenging class.
Excellent practice. The pacing is perfect for opening he hips, especially with all the external rotations (very helpful for dancers!). One other beneficial side effect I found was that I felt an opening in the thoracic are, specifically behind the heart and lungs. Will do this again.
I love this instructor! Her manner of speaking and her demeanor in general very much made me feel like I was a part of her class. She said nothing extraneous, and I felt instead of talking at me (running through the entire checklist of alignment cues, which can be overwhelming, and eventually causes one to tune out), she was talking to me, saying just what was necessary for each particular pose, with the actions needed for the peak pose as the focus. It was refreshing, and it was a delight to do this class. Thank you very much!
Yes! Sarah, you're finally on here! I have missed your Tues/Thurs Westwood classes ever since I moved from LA, and now I get to have you in my home!
Wonderful class -- I can't wait to try all of them! - Liz
