As others mention, no help whatsoever getting into handstand. Need much more instruction.

I think this was mislabeled - should be a level 2 given the transition from Vira 1 to Vira 2, the vinyasas, and the Headstands - especially as there isn't much instruction for these things. Not at all like Melanie's usual Level 1 classes. Not a bad class, just not labeled correctly!

Not enough guiding for beginners, especially with inversions and vinyasa ... If you are carrying extra weight and strength not there yet, easy to injure yourself.
This was very fast for a level one in my opinion.
I followed your hand stand prep pose and I was actually able to do it! Haven't done that in years.
How do you know when your body is ready to kickback into a handstand? It is a bit intimidating.
Is it acceptable to go into handstand in other ways than by kicking back? I would consider myself beyond beginner, but have trouble with the kicking back part. Thanks!
Thank you again. I am so grateful to have discovered yoga works and in particular Melanie. Was iyengar student in the 90s. Two c-sections, two teens, I have not had focus to rebuild my practice until now. Love moving through the amazing variety of videos in comfort of my own space and schedule. This video in particular gave me a lot of courage back.
This was such a perfect, energizing, and relatively quick sequence for the morning. Something I can fit in even when I'm not up the earliest, and it leaves me feeling so balanced and ready for the day :).
My first handstand thank you for the clear instructions you made it easy ! I could only stay there for 3 breaths both times but I was happy for those breaths!
Ive been weaning myself off of coffee for the last couple of months, and this was a wonderful practice to energize myself before my day! Also, thanks for the suggestion of the modified handstand in response to Abigails comment below, because Im not there yet either. :-)
great class, but as a beginner I havent worked up to handstand yet. a more fun modification than downward dog would be welcome!
