Take a look at some of the common misalignments in urdvha dhanurasana (upward facing bow pose) and learn how to correct them. Recommended props: 2 blocks

Can someone enlighten me? Is a twist better after a deep backbend? Or the feet apart-knees together windshield wiper action?

After the final deep backbend, first draw the knees into the chest to release any tension in the low back. Then, do any twist that works in your body. The windshield wiper twist is done with feet and knees apart, rather than feet apart/knees together. It can be done dynamically (back and forth) or passively (holding on one side and then the other). I hope this helps.
